A Trip to Pakistan
Internationally renown painter, Unver Shafi Khan from Karachi asked us if we would catalogue a collection of his paintings.

Unver Shafi Khan was born in Karachi, Pakistan in 1961. He studied English Literature at Kenyon College in the USA. One of the cultural sights of our visit to Lahore Unver's work is three tiered.
1. Large Oils immaculately painted using many thin layers of glowing colour, to create both of both human and rock like, life sized forms.
2. Smaller jewel like acrylics that combine a flavor of the traditional art of the region and with the abstract influences of his oils. Close inspection of the works reveal a human narrative often with a sexual flavor.
3. Printmaking that is influenced by both his oils and his smaller acrylic works.
Unver has a deep interest in the natural world and the rich culture and history of Pakistan. His knowledge made our trip to Karachi and Lahore a fascinating trip of a lifetime. The trip of a lifetime
